FAQs
During your consultation, we will assess your health, medical history, current medications and the type of hair loss you’re experiencing to ensure the treatment is safe and appropriate for you.
Hair loss medications are typically long-term treatments.
- Finasteride is usually taken daily, and results are often seen after 3–6 months, with full effects after 12 months.
- Minoxidil should be applied consistently, and most people see improvement within 3–4 months, with continued results over time.
To maintain the results, ongoing use is usually required. If you stop treatment, hair loss may gradually return.
Both topical and oral medications are generally well tolerated, but like all prescription treatments, they can cause side effects:
Oral:
Possible side effects may include changes in mood, reduced libido, or mild sexual side effects. These are uncommon, and your medical prescriber will discuss risks and monitor your wellbeing.
Topical:
Possible side effects may include scalp irritation, dryness, flaking, or temporary increased shedding when starting (this is normally a positive sign of new growth cycles).
Any concerns will be reviewed during your consultation, and treatments are only prescribed if they are considered safe.
Results vary from person to person. Most clients begin to notice improvement between 3–6 months, but consistent use is key. Hair growth is a slow, natural process, so patience and commitment are important.
Yes. In many cases, using the two medications together can offer the best results, as they work in different ways. Your medical prescriber will advise if combination treatment is suitable for you.
They are typically used for androgenetic (male pattern) hair loss. During your consultation, our medical team will assess the cause of your hair loss to ensure the most suitable treatment plan.
These are both prescription-only medication, so you must be assessed by our medical team first.
We will assess your hair and scalp, review your medical history and any medications you take, discuss your goals and expectations, explain the treatment options and suitability.
Testimonials
I started the oral and topical hair loss treatment a few months ago, and the difference is amazing. My hair feels thicker, stronger, and I’ve noticed far less shedding. The team explained everything clearly and tailored the plan just for me. I finally feel confident about my hair again.
After years of trying different products with little success, I’m so pleases to have finally found something that works. The combination of oral supplements and topical treatment has filled out the thinning patches around my hairline. I’m so happy with the results!
I was hesitant at first, but the results speak for themselves. My hair looks and feels healthier, fuller-looking, and even my barber commented on the improvement. The team is knowledgeable and supportive—highly recommend!
